Marketing Manager

Salary range: $105,000 - $120,000
We’re seeking a strategic, detail‑oriented Marketing Manager to support our state-level marketing efforts in the rapidly evolving EdTech landscape. This role is ideal for someone who understands how state policies influence K–12 purchasing decisions and has experience bringing account based marketing (ABM) practices to campaigns to translate legislative shifts into targeted initiatives.
You’ll work closely with the sales team to understand state needs, react to emerging opportunities, and support revenue goals with tailored content, campaigns, and tools. You’ll deliver campaigns that resonate with state‑specific audiences and support organizational growth, guide cross-functional collaboration, and keep performance measures front and center.
Key areas of responsibility
State-Focused Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Build and implement integrated marketing campaigns tailored to state timelines, needs, and audiences.
- Create messaging and content aligned with state priorities communicated by the sales team.
- Manage cross-channel tactics including email, events, webinars, paid media, landing pages, and social.
- Work with creative, content, and marketing operations to develop high-impact assets.
- Monitor competitive state initiatives and research additional growth marketing tactics to ensure we are generating the best awareness and demand programs.
Project & Priority Management
- Maintain clear project timelines, milestones, and documentation using project managementtool,Monday.com
- Facilitate alignment meetings and ensure stakeholders are updated on campaign progress.
- Balance multiple state-level projects while keeping high-level organizational priorities front and center.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Define KPIs for campaigns and sales support initiatives.
- Track and analyze performance across channels and report results to internal teams.
- Use data to propose improvements, refine messaging, and prioritize investments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the state initiatives team to understand legislation, funding structures, and policy considerations that inform state marketing strategies.
- Work closely with sales leadership to align campaign activity with state opportunities and pipeline needs.
- Regularly attend cross-functional team meetings to report on upcoming state-specific and ABM marketing campaigns to capture feedback from team members.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressive hands-on experience in a B2B marketing role creating state, regional, and ABM campaigns and developing sales enablement tools.
- Excellent understanding of B2B marketing and the lead lifecycle.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once and be flexible to change directions quickly
- High levelof organization and attention to detail.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills with attention to grammatical detail.
- Fluent in marketing technology including marketing automation software (HubSpot required), CRM systems (Salesforce required), and CMS (WordPress preferred).
- Preference for a fast-paced, growth environment where everyone is expected to take on additional responsibilities and collaborate to hit company targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- The use of standard office equipment/computers and some light physical work required
- This position is remote from your home office
- Occasional travel as needed
