Strategic Account Executive - Clark County, NV - Remote

Salary range: $120,000 - $180,000
The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) at 95 Percent Group plays a critical role as the “quarterback” and the overall district leader, spearheading all aspects of the sales process. This includes lead management, qualification, customer management, evaluation, close, and ongoing account management for the largest accounts within 95 Percent Group. The SAE will cultivate trusted advisor-level relationships with senior stakeholders such as principals, school boards, superintendents, and other key decision-makers and influencers, including teachers and technology leaders. 95 Percent Group offers a competitive base salary, plus an attractive commission/bonus plan for this position.
Essential Responsibilities
- Sales Hunter: Identifying, pursuing, and acquiring renewal and expansion opportunities. This role requires exceptional prospecting skills, a strategic approach to outreach, and the ability to close high-value deals to drive revenue growth.
- Policy Understanding: Persistently develops knowledge of state and local legislation regarding science of reading.
- Demonstrated Success: Evidence of successfully garnering revenue in large, urban districts by persistent, onsite relationship development with skills in gaining access.
- Strategic Value Proposition: Engage with executive decision makers to position 95 Percent Group’s strategic value proposition and close top opportunities within each district.
- Manage Complexities: Holds a track record of successfully managing complex procurement processes by developing relationships with business and finance officials, anticipating potential blockers, and resolving them in advance.
- Account Planning: Create and maintain actionable account plans for both customer and prospect districts to prioritize opportunities, guide strategies, and identify new business opportunities.
- Team Deployment: Deploy the full 95 Percent Group cross-functional team across customer districts to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Thought Leadership: Provide proactive, trusted thought leadership on the Science of Reading to support districts in achieving their educational goals.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate forecasts and monthly reports to the sales manager, communicating the health of the sales pipeline, significant market trends, and any potential risks that may impact the ability to hit targets. Act as the “quarterback” for internal resources (CSM, etc.) to maximize value.
- Product and Solution Knowledge: Be proficient with a working knowledge and understanding across all 95 Percent Group products and solutions to effectively address client needs and support sales efforts.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Master’s degree preferred; prior work experience in the education sector is highly advantageous. Science of reading training and knowledge preferred. Prior teaching experience in elementary grades, especially K-3, is a significant advantage.
- Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success in a hunter role, specifically within the education technology (EdTech) sector.
- Influence and Engagement: Proven experience selling to and influencing senior stakeholders within school districts on six-to-seven figure opportunities.
- Organizational Capability: Strong organizational skills with specific experience in account planning and strategic management.
- Presentation Skills: Excellent selling and presentation skills with high rates of success.
- Leadership and Management: Outstanding leadership qualities and a strong ability to work with and manage people across functions.
- Strategic Insight: Ability to identify strategic pains and develop compelling value propositions that focus on delivering business value to districts.
- Travel Requirements: This remote position requires substantial on-site engagement. The employee must conduct business weekly in CCSD schools and offices. Monthly onsite expectations are extensive, ranging from 60% to 80%.
