Sales Development Representative

Location: Remote, US

Position Type: Full-time

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000

 

This sales role serves as a key member on a collaborative team who will help drive sales and execute sales campaigns by researching, prospecting and qualifying leads. A primary contact for prospects, the Sales Development Representative is an instrumental team member working collaboratively to build the sales pipeline and bring in new opportunities. This position is ideal for someone looking to lay a foundation for a successful sales career. Core Responsibilities

Build Sales Pipeline

  • Assist with territory lead generation, qualification, and opportunity creation to build the sales pipeline to meet the company’s revenue goal
  • Collaborate with sales executives to ensure the company’s goals and targets are met
  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects
  • Be responsible for educating and qualifying prospects leading to a warm hand-off to appropriate sales team member
  • Align work to implement the lead generation, qualification, and opportunity creation process
  • Track opportunity creation in company systems (currently Salesforce.com)
  • Make effective handoff of qualified lead to sales executive
  • Request and monitor samples and communicate status updates/progress to key stakeholders
  • Deliver webinars regarding product introductions and demonstrations that explain product offerings, features, and benefits to increase revenue
  • Effectively use data reports to guide strategies and increase revenue
  • Assist with or create cost proposals within company systems (Salesforce.com) 

Process Inbound Leads

  • Follow research protocols for all inbound leads
  • Handle inbound requests from sales executives to resolution within Salesforce.com including research on products, pricing, and availability
  • Assist with sales Webinars, Virtual Product Training and other campaign activities to deliver highly qualified leads to the Regional Account Executive team

Outbound Prospecting

  • Collaborate with sales executives to execute campaign activities to target market segment 
  • Effectively use assessment data to develop target Account lists
  • Contact prospective customers by both telephone and email.
  • Conduct Market Research to develop warm leads.
  • Vet lead list for warm and cold leads.
  • Identify prospects that fit the target demographic.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in elementary grades, especially K-3
  • Previous experience in sales development/enablement is a plus
  • Experience as a reading/literacy or MTSS/RTI coach is a plus
  • Professional knowledge or interest in the Science of Reading
  • Experience and comfort with technology (MS Office, CRM, iPad, webinar technology)
  • Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic and proven track record of success
  • Passion for literacy and improving reading achievement for students
  • A communication style that exhibits the mission and values of 95 Percent Group and fosters effective team relationships
  • Excellent business and technology skills; strong excel experience a plus
  • Exceptional presentation skills; great communicator across all media
  • Positive attitude aligned with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Highly organized, with excellent planning and prioritization skills 

This position is remote / home office based. Travel up to 10% is required.
