  Phonics and Phonological Awareness Screeners for Intervention (PSI and PASI)

The 95 Percent Group Inc. Phonics Screener for Intervention (PSI) and Phonological Awareness Screener for Intervention (PASI) provide teachers tools to use with students to more finely assess the student's abilities/difficulties in reading and help in designing intervention activities to address these specific difficulties. These products provide the most in-depth assessment available, far beyond that of competing products. Licenses for these products are priced on a per-school basis, rather than a per-classroom basis.  While useful in any elementary school grade, they are designed primarily for K-1 (PASI) and Grades 2-3 (PSI) use. The PSI now includes the Phonics Screener for Intervention Reporting System--an easy-to-use online student grouping and reporting system. Simply enter student scores and error patterns and the system groups students into appropriate skill groups for intervention. Modify groups, run reports, or export data directly from the system, which runs in a web browser--no software download required.

The Phonics Lesson Library provides everything required for effective phonics lessons. To save teachers valuable time, all the planning and work is done for them! The library includes 54 six-page lesson plans for the week of instruction, multiple passages per skill in both student and teacher formats, a word list for each skill, and two sets of word cards for each skill in two sizes--for students and teachers. Each annual school site license for the school year provides access to the Phonics Lesson Library on the special website. Users can download and print all the materials they need for each skill. Everything is available in a web browser—no download of software is required.

No more creating or searching for just the right phonological awareness intervention lesson to align with students’ needs. Designed primarily for Pre-K through grade 1, the Blueprint for Intervention:® Phonological Awareness includes instructional procedures for 39 skills divided into five categories—three levels of phonological awareness (Syllables, Onset-Rime, and Phonemes) and two readiness skills (Concepts and Terms and Applying Language.) The purposefully designed two-page layout assists teachers in providing instruction that is explicit and systematic for students struggling to learn these skills. The product contains everything needed for instruction, including more than 100 picture cards, 12 instructional mats, and manipulative shapes, which can be downloaded from a special website. A printed Manipulatives Kit is also available for purchase separately.

These Routine Cards are designed to help teachers with 22 of the most important intervention instruction strategies. The cards are 8.5" by 11", printed on heavy paper, spiral-bound, and laminated for durability. A 100-page User's Guide (not pictured) accompanies the cards and provides detailed instructions on their correct use.
